Understanding Yourself: Finding the Right Place at the Right Time

As people look to move their career forward and explore new opportunities, it is important they understand the kinds of work that excite them, the challenges they like to tackle, the work environment in which they thrive, and the institutional values that are important to them. Self-evaluation, guidance from mentors, and investigation of potential institutions all play an important role in making an informed decision about any next step, and this session will provide an opportunity to explore all these issues.


OUTCOMES: Identify tools to assist in self-evaluation * Develop questions to ask of institutions during the job search * Determine opportunities in both traditional and technical leadership roles
