Building Campus Buy-In through Collaborative Partnerships

Stanford and Pittsburg State will share examples of how they developed collaborative partnerships to create campus buy-in for two major initiatives. While a Stanford CIO partnered with the director of brand strategy and finance managers to implement a new, secure, robust point-of-sale system, the Pittsburg State CIO created campus buy-in by partnering with campus stakeholders through a highly collaborative and very transparent ERP selection process. Stakeholder input, data-driven decision making, and effective communication plans were keys to success and campus acceptance for both solutions.
