Thursday, March 03, 2016 | 2:45PM–4:00PM | Colorado Ballroom CD, Lower Level 2
Session Type: Professional Development
As a campus-wide service, IT is often charged with forming and leading project teams. Learning how to bring multiple campus departments together to create an energetic, empowered, and collaborative project team is key to project success. In this session, we will explore the roadblocks to collaboration and discuss strategies to move past them to project success. The presenters will also share two successful multidepartment project case studies: the implementation of Bradley's first-ever online programs and UMD's Educational Technology faculty support model.

OUTCOMES: Develop a better understanding of the composition and activities of successful multidepartmental teams * Explore collaboration framework models that are transparent to any type of project management for any department in the institution * Identify concrete strategies to take back to your institution
