Thursday, March 03, 2016 | 2:45PM–4:00PM | Colorado Ballroom AB, Lower Level 2
Session Type: Professional Development
Implementing new enterprise systems is always a group process and often a painful one. This session will explore strategies for easing this transition through building consensus and generating buy-in among stakeholders. The first case study will explore the consolidation and deployment of multiple enterprise-grade database services to provide performance improvements and stability and security enhancements across critical university systems for both academic and administrative database systems. We'll also look at a design for lean and agile staff that can provide a high degree of support of higher education IT services at the enterprise level for these systems. The second case study will examine hard-learned lessons from an enterprise application deployment that went awry.

OUTCOMES: Learn how to create, maintain, and improve enterprise support groups * Learn how to leverage one form of enterprise support into a larger support base * Learn how to connect disparate support groups to form a cohesive enterprise support group
