Thursday, March 03 | 9:00AM–10:00AM | Colorado Ballroom AB, Lower Level 2
Session Type: Professional Development
In 2014, the University of Colorado Boulder launched an initiative to enhance the accessibility and usability of the ICT we provide, including establishing an enterprise captioning service. This interactive session will address how captioning was transformed from a challenge filled with uncertainties and complexities into an opportunity to build more inclusive learning communities. We will provide specific examples and a variety of scenarios to help you develop or refine captioning efforts on your campus, including getting started with a service, doing it yourself, selecting vendors, overcoming budget challenges, and working with faculty.

OUTCOMES: Learn about captioning requirements, challenges, and solutions * Gain insights into captioning strategies, practices, and tools * Better understand criteria for evaluating captioning vendors
