IT's Role in Addressing Higher Education's Key Challenges

Please join EDUCAUSE staff for an open discussion of the key challenges facing higher education in the decade 2006–2015. In this session, we will brainstorm key challenges, such as the economic, political, and demographic factors affecting higher education. We will discuss opportunities where IT can be instrumental in enabling higher education's efforts to address some of these challenges, such as how to increase access, control costs, and enhance quality. We will solicit your suggestions about specific initiatives EDUCAUSE and its partners could pursue—initiatives that could make a significant and positive impact on one or more of the challenges facing our institutions.
