Podcasting

Monday, January 22, 2007 | 9:00PM–9:00PM
Session Type: Resources
Learning can occur in informal, as well as formal, spaces. Herman Miller, Apple Computer, and ELI members will demonstrate informal learning spaces and technology at the meeting to give you hands-on experience of their value. When they are not being used for demonstrations, you can use the spaces for your own impromptu gatherings and informal learning. Some of your best learning may take place in the hallway! Join us to prove that any place can be a learning space.

Seating in each of the three demonstration spaces will be limited to 6-8 people depending on the space format. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

In this demonstration, Michael Burke and Steve Vanbrackle will help participants explore podcasting: Podcasting is emerging as a powerful yet easy-to-implement tool for providing learners with media-rich, portable, and easily accessible content, using a subscription model of delivery. These hands-on sessions will lead participants through the process of creating, uploading, and accessing instructional audio and video podcasts.
