Connecting Faculty to Technology Through Students: A Template (Innovative Practice)

Tuesday, January 19, 2010 | 3:45PM–4:45PM | Meeting Room 406 (fourth floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
Student Instructional Technology Assistants (SITAs) are a select group of graduate and undergraduate students who work one-on-one with instructors on projects that enhance instruction with technology at the University of Iowa. In their position as students, SITAs offer instructors insight into the minds of college learners while remaining cognizant of teaching outcomes related to higher education. SITAs will present their innovative approach to project management as a viable model for other institutions to consider when determining optimal avenues for connecting instructors to students through the pedagogically sound integration of technology into classrooms.
