Video47: The Design and Implementation of an Open-Source Video-on-Demand System at Pomona College (Learning Technology)

Wednesday, January 20 | 11:00AM–1:00PM | Governor's Ballroom Foyer (fourth floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
For a number of years Pomona College used a proprietary video-on-demand product to deliver academic video content over the web. After some evaluation, Pomona came to the conclusion that it could do a better job of delivering academic content with an in-house system built around open-source technologies. Join us to learn how Pomona chose the technologies used, converted legacy content, improved delivery efficiency, increased content quality, and restored faculty and student confidence in the delivery of video-based course assets.
