Workshop 04A - Shades of Gray: How FERPA, Copyright, and Other Legal Issues Impact Technology Use in the Classroom

Tuesday, January 19 | 9:00AM–12:00PM | Meeting Room 408 (fourth floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
When working with technology in a classroom-from assigned readings to student submissions-there are important legal issues many people have never considered. How does FERPA impact technology in the classroom? How can you make sense out of copyright? How does Creative Commons work?

We will tackle these questions in a three-hour hands-on workshop. Participants will leave with resources to assist them when they return to their own campuses.
