NowComment is a sophisticated, engaging, and scalable tool for posting documents online for group discussion and annotation. Users can create multi-level threaded conversations on sentences, paragraphs, or the whole document; see those conversations literally "in context" alongside the document; skim, sort, view, and control access to comments in multiple ways; and intuitively use the software without needing our online videos or help texts. NowComment has been tested at and licensed by the University of Virginia, whose SHANTI office is supporting its use as a core instructional tool starting in January 2011.
