Online Lightning Round - Mobility with iPads Showcase: Evaluating the Impact of the iPad in the Collegiate Learning Community

Monday, February 14, 2011 | 12:45PM–1:05PM
Session Type: Professional Development
In the spring of 2010, the iPad emerged with great fanfare as an innovative device that would revolutionize how people learn, interact, communicate, and create. As collegiate campuses begin to adopt these devices for campus-wide use, it is critical to evaluate how the iPad can impact and support the missions of institutions of higher education. In this interactive session, the presenters will examine the iPad's functionality from five complementary perspectives (technology administrator, academic leadership, researcher, instructor, and student) and outline how the device supports scholarship, teaching, and learning.
