The 2011 Horizon Report - Sponsored by SunGard Higher Education, An EDUCAUSE Platinum Partner

For nearly nine years, the annual Horizon Report, a joint publication of the New Media Consortium and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative, has tracked new and emerging technologies for teaching, learning, and creative expression. This session is the official unveiling of the 2011 report. It will cover the six key technologies described in the report, as well as address the trends and challenges the report identifies as informing the 2011 context for postsecondary learning. Immediately following the release of the 2011 Horizon Report, you'll hear from representatives from several institutions that have already adopted and implemented teaching and learning innovations using the emerging technologies listed in the report. Following their lightning round presentations, you'll have some time to speak with the presenters individually to explore what impact the innovation has had on learners' experiences.
