Learning analytics (aka learner relationship management) has been highly touted as powerful application to promote student course completion and graduation. But are course completion and graduation the same as "learning"? Have recent developments in learning analytics enabled these applications to get closer to learning? In this session, participants will have the opportunity to debate the question of "learning" in learning analytics.
