Illuminating Possibilities: The CIO as a Champion of Teaching and Learning

CIOs are critical stakeholders in advancing the teaching and learning mission in higher education, especially as technology in all its forms is reshaping many of those practices. The T&L community and the CIO need to work well together in a climate built on trust, shared respect, and a commitment to innovation. As partners, they will be most effective in helping transform their institution and support faculty and students in that process. Two "friends of T&L" CIOs will revisit key takeaways from the "CIO and T&L" discussion and illuminate possibilities for the IT and T&L cultures to leverage technology collaboratively.
