Tackling the Changing Landscape of Teaching and Learning

Tuesday, February 05, 2013 | 3:45PM–4:30PM | Governor's Square 16
Session Type: Professional Development
A sea change in higher education teaching and learning is upon us, resulting in new challenges in delivery of curriculum, faculty involvement, student engagement, assessment, accreditation, and more. While new technologies and paradigm shifts create new expectations and possibilities, they also introduce the associated pains of adapting curricula to meet the changing academic landscape while maintaining high standards of excellence and programmatic outcomes. Many institutions are finding themselves at a strategic crossroad with more questions than answers. We will discuss the changing roles of faculty, students, and administrators, as well as the importance of choosing key strategic partners, in responding to and managing this dynamic teaching and learning landscape.
