Learning analytics, active learning pedagogies, MOOCs, and digital content of all kinds are catalyzing educational transformation. The opportunities seem daunting yet limitless. Managing these opportunities in an academic environment is a complex undertaking. The ability to effectively analyze needs, build consensus, and develop strong partnerships is critical to success. In this seminar we will use an active learning, team-based approach, supplemented with practical tools, to engage participants in actively exploring and practicing methods for engaging cross-campus constituencies to build consensus around complicated educational technology initiatives. Experiential activities will be based on proven strategies used in real-life initiatives at a large research university.
