Streaming Media Inside the LMS and Beyond: Video and Media Management for Online Learning

Adoption of video and audio content by higher education has skyrocketed, driven by the emergence of MOOCs, blended and fully online programs, and flipped classrooms, where streaming media plays an integral role in students' online learning experience. This session will include an overview of academic computing's needs for online video and media management, including features for student-generated content, mobile media, LMS integration, video assignments, digital rights management, and accessibility. It will also include a demonstration of the ShareStream Video Platform, a turnkey solution for campus media developed in collaboration with Georgetown University that is now widely deployed around the world.
