U.S. Department of Education Programs

The U.S. Department of Education will be at the ELI Annual Meeting and is excited to share information about ED programs, policies, and external engagement—and also to hear from you about exciting developments in the field. Senior Policy Advisor David Soo will be hosting an hour-long session that is designed to be a two-way conversation. ED topics will include the First in the World grant program, the Online Skills Academy, experimental sites, and other efforts ED is undertaking to improve access, quality, and completion for all students. We will also be seeking input from attendees on the design of these programs, in addition to other ways that ED and the federal government can encourage responsible innovation and shine a light on promising practices already under way.
