A New Lens on Digital Courseware Evaluation

Wednesday, February 03 | 4:15PM–5:00PM | Texas Ballroom Salon F, Fourth Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
Digital courseware is a tool with the potential to support personalized learning for thousands of postsecondary students; however, it is not broadly adopted or very well understood by many postsecondary stakeholders. In response to this gap, Tyton Partners, the Online Learning Consortium and SRI International, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, have led the development of a taxonomy to help stakeholders navigate the digital courseware market, as well as a framework for evaluating courseware. In this session, we'll introduce these tools and offer a forum for feedback and discussion.

Outcomes: Introduce the taxonomy and quality framework, highlighting where stakeholders can find these tools and how they may be of value to postsecondary stakeholders * Collect initial feedback and questions * Share "how-to's" for the effective use of tools
