Changing the Conversation: Strategies for Creating Instructor Investment in Innovative Teaching Methods

In this session, we will examine factors that influence faculty adoption of innovative teaching methods including lack of resources, knowledge or skills, and motivation. Targeted toward participants providing faculty development at their institutions, this session will include a variety of activities and scenarios to guide participants through a process for addressing common challenges with their faculty clients. Throughout the workshop, participants will be asked to draw on their own experiences, sharing tips and strategies with others. Participants will work to develop templates and resources to address common faculty development challenges at their home institutions moving forward.
