The application of complex information is a goal in higher education, but educators face challenges in helping students develop this important skill. This presentation will demonstrate a simple, powerful technique to allow students a safe place to fail. Participants will learn about branching simulations that let students to make choices with low-stakes consequences, the "choose your own adventure" style. The choices are simulated to allow students to assess their knowledge.
