Leading Change with Learning Spaces - Sponsored learning space design provided by Steelcase Education, Gold Partner

Tuesday, February 02 | 4:00PM–4:45PM | Texas Ballroom Salon E, Fourth Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
Many institutions have come to recognize the importance of designing learning spaces based on what we know about how students learn. Some have also recognized that learning spaces are the physical representations of an institution's values and vision for learning. However, there has been little discussion as to how has this change occurred. This session will use a change framework to analyze a 10-year process of how a large research-intensive university has changed to make learning spaces a strategic priority.

OUTCOMES: Analyze key stages of organizational change and apply them to the design of learning spaces on campus * Discuss how using a change framework can be helpful to effect change at your institutions
