Online Peer Feedback and Assessment: Design and Implementation with the MEAN Stack

Wednesday, February 03 | 3:30PM–4:15PM | Texas Ballroom Foyer, Fourth Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
We designed and implemented a peer feedback and assessment in an online mathematics course with the MEAN stack, a modern web app development framework. The pedagogical intent of the experiment is to maximize the content-centered collaboration among students in an online course by means of peer feedback and assessment; the research interest is to investigate the validity of peer assessment by pitting the peer assessment against self-assessment and instructor assessment. Student perceptions on peer feedback and assessment are also considered.

OUTCOMES: Learn about online peer feedback and assessment in practice * Recognize how educational apps can be developed outside the LMS * Learn how to design feedback and assessment for your own class.
