Wednesday, February 03 | 4:15PM–5:00PM | Texas Ballroom Salon E, Fourth Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
After a recent pilot study, it was determined that proceeding with the design and development of personalized learning courses was beneficial to students and faculty. Taking the path toward a new innovation may begin with many questions, including where to begin. Attendees will experience hands-on the personalized learning environment through the eyes of a student and discover the benefits of teaching with this innovative approach. We will discuss how to leverage what you already know about teaching online in order to rethink course design and delivery. We will also practice with content organization, which is the starting point to adapt courses.

OUTCOMES: Experience a student's view of course materials * Identify starting steps for personalized learning * Compare current online teaching practices to those required for adaptive learning * Redesign course components for personalized learning
