Session Type: Professional Development
Imagine being able to travel underwater, into space, on the Amazon River, through a rainforest—all without leaving your desk. Look up, look down, look behind you, and the illusion of being immersed in the environment persists. This is virtual reality or VR. Are we finally at a point where VR can be used in our college classrooms? This interactive poster will offer an overview of VR and consumer-level devices currently on the market. Several VR devices will be available for you to explore. Come explore and share your ideas for VR use in higher education!

OUTCOMES: Experience the immersive effects of VR * Describe specific uses in higher education where VR might have positive impact * Articulate potential barriers to using VR in higher education
