Design, Deliver, Learn! The Unique Experience of Designing and Teaching a Hybrid Chemistry Course
Teaching a science course in a hybrid format presents unique opportunities and challenges for instructors and students. It is therefore essential to design a pedagogically sound and interactive course that provides ample venues for instructor-student and student-student communication. For Chemistry 100, we designed a blend that supports our objectives and provides scaffolds for students to achieve success. This presentation will address effective design components, assessment tools, and practices that have helped students learn and retain information.
