Much research on educational technology is conducted by university faculty and staff in live educational environments in which classic research designs, particularly experimental designs, are not possible. This session will use examples drawn from research conducted at the University of Minnesota to illustrate constructive ways of investigating educational technology using nonexperimental, and especially single-group, research designs.
