The Impact of Learning Analytics on Course Design and Student Support Services

Wednesday, April 11 | 2:00PM–2:15PM
Session Type: Professional Development

Combining data from lecture capture with measures of student success, survey data, and faculty feedback analytics promotes the development of predictive tools to support students and evidence-based course design. This project round will review how faculty and technologists at the Ohio State University College of Nursing are using learning analytics to inform course design and improve the understanding of student behaviors. Participants will (1) identify sources of data for course-level analytics, (2) assess the evidence of impact on student performance and satisfaction, and (3) identify two ways that real-time analytics can improve understanding of student behaviors.
