Teaching to the Network: Public Pedagogy across Institutional Barriers

How can academics use free and open-source community platforms to create rich educational experiences for their students that reach across institutions and spaces? How can students from a range of levels collaborate on a collective project despite significant differences in academic preparation? This presentation will describe several ways that open-source tools have been used in recent years by digital humanists to encourage collaborative learning experiences across academic institutions.
