In this session, we'll engage in a thoughtful exploration of the new responsibilities we take on as the collection and use of student data have become a key part of our practice. We will explore the ethical issues in the use of big data that are often overlooked as we respond to our excitement over the possibilities.

Outcomes: Identify multiple issues and opportunities in the collection of student data * Understand the importance of student ownership of data * Articulate actions in the realm of policy, practice, and education to encourage students to have agency over their own data
