Flip Cameras and YouTube for Student Self-Evaluation and Peer Review
Wednesday, March 30 | 2:15PM–3:15PM
Session Type:
Professional Development
Using affordable and easy-to-operate Flip video cameras, each student in the Music Conducting course records every in-class performance. The files are uploaded to the student's YouTube account, and privacy settings are set to restrict access to classmates and the instructor. The student's classmates use the comment feature to provide constructive feedback to the performer. In addition, the performer must review the video file and provide a written reflection for the instructor.
