Session Type:

The Center for Student Advising at Columbia University implemented a web-based system for its appointment scheduling, data management, and communications that enhances the student-adviser relationship for both parties. Success was driven by actively engaging many stakeholders, strategically formulating questions for vendors, and modeling the comparison of an off-the-shelf product and a custom solution. In this session we will discuss our methodology and assessment tools as well as related outcomes and lessons.
