For two decades, the prevailing philosophy for computer security has been "better security through technology" (for example, installing antivirus on endpoints and firewalls on networks.) Attackers have the advantage of agility and have adapted to focus on such areas as exploiting weaknesses in web applications and social engineering users. Computer security is now less an IT problem and more a business problem, with a growing need to "secure the human" (or business processes) over the computer. Join a panel of security experts to explore risk management, HR security, applications security, compliance, user awareness, and other elements of the new security paradigm as they affect IT and the entire campus.
