In the summer of 2009, the MIT Sloan School of Management embarked on a project to develop a virtual desktop infrastructure that would support virtual computer labs and replace desktops for faculty and staff. Join this session to hear representatives from MIT Sloan discuss the implementation and deployment of best practices, including how they are optimizing the infrastructure for large-scale deployments; ensuring a highly personalized environment for users; developing a robust yet resource-efficient backup, disaster recovery, and upgrade plan; and maintaining availability and security of the VDI service.
