The OER Ambassadors Pilot

Wednesday, March 23, 2016 | 2:30PM–3:10PM | West Prefunction Area
Session Type: Professional Development
The University of New Hampshire Library, Academic Technology, and Center for Excellence in Teach and Learning launched the UNH OER Ambassadors pilot in spring 2015. Through this program we've provided support to instructors who are transforming their teaching using open resources. In one semester, six OER Ambassadors have saved students more than $125,000. In this session we'll discuss collaborating around OER, gathering financial and administrative support, and working with instructors on successful OER implementation, as well as program assessment, preliminary outcomes, and plans for building on our successes. We'll also engage in a strategic planning activity for local OER implementation.

Outcomes: Be able to identify key roles and partnerships required to create successful OER campus collaborations * Explore the stages and components of an OER pilot * Begin to make plans for initiating a local OER conversation
