Our session will begin with observations and an open dialogue about how traditional assessment practices and reports are generated. We will invite participants to share their experiences and we'll talk about the ways in which we opted to challenge those norms. We will walk the audience through a selection of clips from our limited series podcast production. Vanessa will talk about the strategic goals and objectives she had to achieve as the chair of the assessment process, how she included her colleagues, and how this process started. Vanessa will speak about the partnership with Wes Bernstein, the library's media specialist, who helped develop a creative narrative approach through a podcast, leaning into Vanessa's passion for pop culture references and the use of transformative storytelling. This journey will be highlighted with clips and examples of the steps along the way, along with highlights of the learning process and technology used to produce the podcast. The two will invite the audience to contribute to their final episode, with a voluntary invitation to record a short piece of audio which will ultimately be edited into the final episode.
