Leading Change: Cultivating a Data Culture for Student Success

Tuesday, March 10, 2026 | 8:30AM–9:15AM ET | Room 552 AB
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
What does it take to build a collaborative, data-informed campus culture that truly drives equitable student success? This session will explore the Building a Data-Driven Student Success Ecosystem (BaSSE) initiative, an ambitious, cross-divisional project that is transforming how Bentley University measures educational outcomes and creates an environment that fosters student success. Our presentation will outline BaSSE’s phased approach to data maturity; share strategies for building descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and analytic frameworks; and discuss how we are cultivating a culture of data literacy and shared accountability from the ground up. Attendees will learn how data dashboards, stakeholder training, and collaborative care models are being deployed to close institutional performance gaps, support faculty and staff, and guide student intervention strategies. The session will also invite shared brainstorming on how institutions can scale similar approaches to meet their own strategic goals.
