Operationalizing AI in Higher Education: Building Sustainable AI Infrastructure

Wednesday, March 11, 2026 | 8:30AM–9:15AM ET | Room 550 AB
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Industry Insights Session

As student expectations for personalized, always-on engagement rise, higher education IT leaders must support experiences that legacy systems were not designed to deliver. Artificial intelligence offers new opportunities while raising questions around governance, integration, security, and readiness.

This interactive panel brings together senior technology leaders from two universities to discuss how AI supports student engagement across the life cycle, from recruitment through student services. Panelists will share real-world experiences navigating system constraints, collaboration, data privacy concerns, and stakeholder trust while deploying AI at scale.

The session gives attendees insight into how campus partners experience AI in practice, with a focus on how the CollegeVine platform integrates with existing systems, supports workflows, and enables staff to spend more time on high-impact work. Topics include identifying the tipping point for AI adoption, building governance frameworks aligned with institutional standards, integrating AI into enterprise infrastructure, and evaluating outcomes across technical and enrollment metrics.

Attendees will leave with practical lessons and key questions CIOs and IT leaders should consider when evaluating responsible, scalable AI initiatives.
