Responding to security threats in college and university environments necessitates a response that often includes collecting, preserving, and examining digital evidence. This program will provide participants with a foundation in digital forensics and how it is integrated into the security architecture and risk management of the enterprise. Policy issues and their legal basis will be discussed, along with the civil and criminal aspects of digital forensics. Finally, some practical approaches to handling incidents involving digital evidence will be presented.
