Creating a Secure, Mobile, Remotely Managed, Bootable Environment

Tuesday, April 13, 2010 | 2:00PM–3:00PM | International H (6th floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
Learn how Purdue has created a secure, mobile, remotely managed, bootable environment for remote access. This type of environment was originally motivated by a work-at-home requirement for pandemic flu, but it was extended to more general applications for mobile users, remote office users, and general work-at-home scenarios. Hear what options were explored and ultimately selected to create a secure remote access environment, as well as end-to-end security. Also hear about how ease of management of the solution was considered at every step, which resulted in a low-maintenance solution. A demo will be included during the presentation.
