This workshop will focus on ways to help attendees develop targeted security awareness programs that educate constituents about some of the most critical security threats experienced on higher education campuses today. We'll discuss the recent EDUCAUSE Awareness and Training security awareness metrics survey and present the top security issues on campuses. We'll concentrate on two of these specific challenges, BYOD and phishing. The workshop will conclude with attendees' participation in small working groups to develop their own "campaigns" to present to all participants.

 

OUTCOMES:
Be able to articulate the threats and challenges posed by phishing and BYOD * Learn how to initiate and implement effective phishing and BYOD awareness and training campaigns
