ECAR Symposium 2002

In 1997, Professor Martin Trow argued that information technologies would cut new channels through our great institutions of higher learning, resulting in unpredictable changes. Indeed the traditional academy has been changed considerably in an era driven by knowledge. The 2002 ECAR Symposium was designed to bring together those who have crafted many of higher education's recent changes with those who have studied these changes. Sessions were designed to encourage interaction at the nexus of theory, analysis, and practice.
