Management of Research Computing: Funding, Outsourcing, Promoting Services, Establishing Partnerships

Research computing technology capability is evolving at a blistering pace, but can the service organizations responsible for these environments keep up? Strategically funding campus cyberinfrastructure, new capabilities afforded by cloud computing, faculty and research adoption and use of central research technology services, and leveraging cross-institutional capability must all be considered. This discussion will focus on the considerations for effective management of research computing.
