Business Analytics for a Dime: Organizational Change? That's a Dollar

Saint Michael's College developed institutional analytics that have been used successfully by senior management for reporting, assessment, planning, and action. We used commonly available software that either was already licensed or had modest incremental cost to create these systems. This session extends the college's presentation at NERCOMP 2009 in two ways: first, by discussing the features of Excel 2007, Tableau, and other software used in our business intelligence application and evaluating these tools for use in BI projects, and second, by demonstrating the organizational change principles relevant to successful adoption of the analytics model.
