NJVid: A Collaborative Portal for Statewide Video Access

Wednesday, March 10 | 12:30PM–1:20PM | Room 552 A
Session Type: Professional Development
NJVid is a project initially funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to create and deliver a statewide digital video portal and central storage repository. NJVid provides a common online platform for presenting, accessing, and archiving institutions' licensed and locally produced videos that educate and enlighten viewers in support of teaching and learning. Through an intense collaborative process, two higher education institutions and three New Jersey consortia have joined forces to make NJVid happen. This session will present how NJVid provides a model to other states looking to provide similar access and combining of resources.
