Faculty Engagement with Educational Technology: An Approach That Works

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 | 3:15PM–4:05PM | Room 551
Session Type: Professional Development
Busy faculty often ignore outreach efforts to incorporate instructional technology into their work. When they do respond, they sometimes enter the conversation with a possible solution that may or may not meet their need. Too often, they leave the experience underwhelmed and therefore unwilling to use technology to address a teaching and learning challenge in the future. In this practical and information-filled session, we will share our faculty outreach strategies and design and development process. Audience will learn how and why this business model works and gain concrete ideas to increase and deepen faculty engagement with existing resources.
