Information Technology as a Strategic Campus Resource - Sponsored by Oracle, An EDUCAUSE Gold Partner

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 | 10:30AM–11:45AM | Ballroom D/E
Session Type: Professional Development
Particularly in these difficult economic times that are demanding a rethinking of many practices, information technology should be treated as a strategic resource, enabling and supporting change in research and scholarship, in teaching and learning, and in partnership with the library and academic information management. This approach will be vital not only locally on campuses but also across institutions of higher education, allowing them to work together to engage in new cross-institutional resource sharing, teaching and learning initiatives, and research collaborations. This presentation will make the case for this perspective and provide provocative examples to suggest the range of opportunities available for schools of all sizes and all missions.
