Seminar 01A - IT Security in Higher Education: Prepare, Prevent, Protect-It's Everyone's Responsibility!
PLEASE NOTE: Separate registration and fee are required to attend this seminar.
Monday, March 28 | 9:30AM–1:00PM | Room 552 A
Session Type:
Professional Development
This seminar will be presented by a group of information security experts who will discuss the four basic components of security: prevention, detection, response and recovery. Prevention is the area that requires our greatest attention and has the greatest impact (if done properly). Detection is critical to supporting our prevention efforts; we'll highlight options and best practices. Response and recovery are a team exercise; we'll explore relevant case studies. The ISO's evolving role is the coordination of all efforts related to securing information; however, information security is everyone's responsibility across the institution. Attend this collaborative session to learn and share.
