How Your Next Technology Purchase Can Help Save the World

Wednesday, March 14, 2012 | 4:40PM–5:30PM | Ballroom D/E
Session Type: NC12

While almost all of us want to do whatever we can to reverse industrial pollution, it's often hard to know where to start. Institutions of higher education are among the largest and most intensive users of technology, and many of us have been actively seeking to become more environmentally responsible in our consumption. Using new and expanding data available from an NGO in China, Wesleyan believes that the higher education community can take concrete steps to force technology companies, who are some of the worst offenders in industrial pollution, to clean up their act.
